Within the framework of the Pan-European Executive MBA Programme in cooperation with the HR Association of Armenia Dr. Giovanni Oscar Serafini will deliver an open class on “Unleashing the Power of Purpose-Driven HR: Aligning Talent and Sustainability for a Better World””.
In the modern business landscape, purpose-driven companies understand that their success extends beyond profit, encompassing a positive impact on employees, customers, and the environment. Human Resources Management (HRM) plays a pivotal role in this movement, aligning talent strategies with sustainability goals while increasing its own influence. By aligning talent with sustainability, elevating HR’s strategic influence, and fostering a culture of purpose, organizations can make a lasting positive impact.
Dr. Serafini is an Associate Professor at the Business Administration and Economics Department. Prior to joining CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, he was a Lecturer in International Business & Management and member of the Management Science and Entrepreneurship Group at the Essex Business School, University of Essex (UK). Moreover, he has a noteworthy industrial background with a rich experience encompassing HRM application in multinational firms operating in the luxury segment of the hospitality industry (Disneyland Paris, Hilton Worldwide, Sani/Ikos Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation).
- He has contributed research work to The International Journal of Human Resource Management,
- Human Resource Management Review, International Business Review, International Journal of Training and Development, and in 2018 he co-authored a book chapter on Comparative HRM published by Edward Elgar.
- He is also involved in a number of EU PROJECTS (Erasmus +) and etc.
