Armenian HR Association Engages Members in Shaping HR Community Priorities and Strategic Directions

On August 1, the Armenian HR Association held a strategic consultation with its members through the HR Club platform to identify the real needs of the HR community, discuss sector priorities, and jointly explore the Association’s future strategic directions.

The session was organized in the framework of the CIPE Europe and Eurasia Regional Support Program, under the project “Advancing Private Sector Advocacy and Financial Sustainability of the Armenian HR Association.” The project aims to strengthen Armenian HR Association’s organizational capacity, improve its service model, enhance financial sustainability, build private sector advocacy capacity, and reinforce the Association’s strategic role within Armenia’s HR ecosystem.

Three Priorities, One Strategic Conversation

Led by Arpi Karapetyan, President of the Armenian HR Association, the participants discussed three interconnected areas:

Challenges and Needs of the HR Community
What are the most common HR challenges organizations face today? What knowledge, tools, and data do HR professionals need, and what prevents HR from playing a stronger role as a strategic business partner?

Future Services and Engagement Formats of the Association
Which services can create the greatest value for HR professionals and organizations—from HR Clubs and simulation games to research, practical tools, mentoring, consulting, and masterclasses? Participants also discussed potential models for combining free and paid services.

Professional Standards, Conduct, and Ethics
What professional challenges and gaps require broader dialogue, research, and cooperation with business, educational institutions, public authorities, and international partners?

From Consultation to Action

The consultation generated valuable member input, experience, and recommendations that will inform the development of Armenian HR Association’s future services, programs, and sectoral advocacy priorities.

This member-driven approach will help the Association align its future activities with the real needs of the HR community and more effectively identify issues that can become part of the broader private sector dialogue and advocacy agenda.

Armenian HR Association will continue engaging its members and other stakeholders through structured dialogue to advance the HR profession, strengthen professional standards, and reinforce the Association’s role within Armenia’s HR ecosystem.
